Fall CSA

Extend the season into December

Fall greens and storage crops will extend your CSA almost to the winter solstice! The high tunnels are planted in September and October with hardy greens to harvest throughout the winter. Field crops are protected with row cover until mid-November to ensure bigger late-season harvests.

What do I mean by storage crops?

Beets, squash, potatoes, carrots. Some of the items that take up more field space like squash and potatoes will be from partnering organic farms in New Hampshire. Greens will include kale, little gem lettuce, mizuna mix, arugula, spinach, and lettuce mix. And don’t forget garlic, radishes, watermelon radishes, salad turnips, and radicchio. Early frosts make these vegetables some of the best you’ll ever have.
